Salt-Lake City native, Jesse Garcia, better known as his pseudonym, SnowTown, is releasing his much-anticipated third single from his 2019 album GHOST, which follows his 2018 album SEEING THINGS and EP 3am. SnowTown’s single, “Roses,” was written for the artist’s mom, who has asked him to write happier songs. Jesse’s latest sound proves once again that he thinks outside of the box, and does not feel limited by one specific genre. When asked how to best describe his music, Jesse has declared it a fusion of schizophrenic pop and alternative rock. His end goal is to create music that will touch people emotionally. Snowtown’s first two singles from the album, “Visions” and “Burn,” have amassed hundreds of thousands of plays as well as having been featured on an Aminium Music playlist which boasts 10,000 listeners.
Jesse’s passion for creating music comes from a sombre place as the artist struggles deeply with depression. However, weeks before his 15th birthday, Jesse was involved in a near-fatal accident and was hospitalized. This accident showed Jesse, “how fragile mortality is,” and while he was bed-bound, Jesse began to write music. Jesse is heavily influenced by a wide range of artists, stemming from Twenty One Pilots, AJR, and Macklemore with a goal to create emotional, piano driven music.
