Thyla are sharing one final teaser from their imminent debut album. “Rabbit Hole” is out now, with their self-titled debut album to follow on 28th January via Easy Life Records.
“Rabbit Hole” is the album’s closing track and is described as the “nucleus” of the new record. It follows some of the themes central to Thyla’s sonic exploration to their natural conclusion, quite literally chasing them down the rabbit hole to a place where more questions are posed than answered.
Lead singer Millie Duthie comments further:
“Rabbit Hole is one of our oldest songs, we tried demoing it loads but only got the arrangement right during album pre-production. Lyrically it’s the nucleus of the album and many lyrics from Rabbit Hole are repeated in the other songs on the record. The song is about how accruing wisdom and knowledge in fact unveils more mystery, and the ’Alice’ who is sung about is a reference from Alice in Wonderland; the deeper down the rabbit hole you go, the more crazy and unintelligible it gets.”
