Infusing his authentic country sound with the attitude and energy of hip-hop, Willie Jones has been hailed as the next wave star of the genre. The only country artist to be named on Vevo’s DSCVR Artists to Watch list for 2022, Willie Jones is set to play one of his first London headline shows at The Camden Assembly on March 15th. Tickets for the show are available HERE.
The Camden Assembly show will see Willie Jones cap a big introduction to the UK. His visit starts on March 11th when he plays the Town Square at this year’s C2C London festival. He will then headline the festival’s late night official aftershow party at indigo in The O2 the following night, before playing the festival’s BBC Radio 2 stage on March 13th. Tickets for the festival are available HERE.
Hailing from Louisiana, Willie Jones first made an impact with a succession of tracks including ‘Bachelorettes on Broadway’, ‘Down For It’, ‘Back Porch’ and ‘Right Now’ – all of which achieved millions of streams and featured on his 2021debut album ‘Right Now’. The UK’s country music champions Off The Record stated, “Willie Jones has captured something truly special on this record, bending genres and fusing a melting pot of sounds into a totally fresh new sound.”
Willie Jones ended last year with the two-track ‘2-Piece Combo’ release, which includes his current single ‘Slow Cookin”. Both songs saw Willie Jones cooking up his own taste of modern-day romance, fusing his smooth, baritone vocals with his swampy, signature sound. He also made his second late-night TV appearance when he performed his summertime jam ‘Down By The Riverside’ for ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’.
