Rising artist and rapper, AUDREY NUNA returns with her latest track, “IdgaF,” paired with a captivating editorial-inspired visual created by Nuna herself using photos by Louisa Meng. “IdgaF” marks the beginning of an enthralling new chapter of music releases, set to become a bigger body of work to be released via Arista Records. More details to be shared soon.
AUDREY NUNA is creating a fresh and edgy lane, adding new value to the current state of music, and is undeniably poised for stardom. Having laid the foundations with her a liquid breakfast release in 2022, she soon attracted attention from the likes of The New York Times, NPR, High Snobiety, VOGUE, BILLBOARD, COMPLEX, PAPER, FADER and V Mag. Now, with the release of “IdgaF,” the 22-year-old continues to push the boundaries, setting the precedent as one of the first female Korean-American R&B acts breaking into mainstream culture. She leads with a commitment to creativity.
A first-generation Korean-American, AUDREY NUNA grew up in New Jersey and started singing before she could talk. In 2018, AUDREY NUNA was enrolled at NYU’s Clive Davis Institute before being discovered by her manager, Anwar online. Taking classes by day, Audrey would take the 10pm train uptown to Anwar’s studio, write all night, take the 4am bus back to NYU, grab a few hours of sleep and go to class. She soon decided to take a gap year to focus on the music. “I don’t like the feeling of half-assing anything,” says Audrey. Her self-described “neurotic” attitude quickly proved fruitful. After self-releasing a series of six tracks, Audrey inked a record deal with Arista Records, and arrived on the scene with her single “Soufflé” – a quirky genre-bending trap influenced track sporting razor sharp lyricism and a self-directed visual with fierce aesthetic. Now, following a string of buzzworthy songs since signing, Audrey plans to release a larger project later this year.
