DANIEL DONSKOY – THE COSMOPOLITAN ARTIST SHARES HIS NEW SINGLE ‘SIPPIN’

DONSKOY is a unique artist. Not only is he someone whose concept of home is fluid (born in Moscow, he has also spent much of his life in BerlinTel Aviv and London) but his creative energies flourish in two fields: music (he won the German edition of ‘The Masked Singer’ and has a handful of original tracks to his name) and acting (including roles in Netflix’s ‘The Crown’ and ‘Barbarians’ plus the lead in the upcoming Disney+ series ‘Vienna Game’). Now DONSKOY gets the biggest era of his music career underway as he shares the new single ‘SIPPIN’

His first release in three years, DONSKOY sounds completely reinvigorated on ‘SIPPIN’.  His voice combines provocative power and suave, seductive charm to topline a heady production which merges the instantaneous hooks of alt-pop with bass-heavy beats inspired by contemporary R&B. The track’s title suggests it’s a song to soundtrack bottle-poppin’ party moments, but it’s actually a metaphor for something far more sensual.

Daniel Donskoy says, “It feels so good to go back to what has always been my most real and raw form of expression. Music has always been there for me – in the good times when it feels like the sun is shining everyday through to the moments when you question your entire existence as an artist. Knowing that I’m back to sharing my songs with an audience fills me with joy.  It’s about not wanting to stop or be stopped. To keep ‘SIPPIN’, on something or someone… I’ll leave that up to the listener’s imagination but it’s definitely a song that’s on the naughtier side. Sometimes all you need is one more sip.”

DONSKOY wrote ‘SIPPIN’ with the Platinum-certified songwriter Julia Kautz and the track’s producers SAIN (Kelvin JonesTrettman).

The new chapter that DONSKOY starts with ‘SIPPIN’ will continue with plenty more new music set to be unveiled on a regular basis going through to early 2025.

While Daniel Donskoy’s studies and subsequent career has taken him across the globe, making new homes wherever the road takes him, music has been a constant passion wherever he goes. His grandmother taught him piano as he grew up, but that traditional upbringing took a different turn when he started writing music and connecting with the soul, gospel and folk scenes of Tel Aviv and then the hedonistic clubs of Berlin before studying music and drama in London.

He was first recognised with a host of West End and television roles in London before earning numerous prestigious acting awards in Germany, while also featuring in some big North American productions. He first started releasing music in 2020, later winning ‘The Masked Singer’ and completing a sold-out club tour in Germany. In the past three years, his public profile has been heightened by a continued succession of stage, screen and streaming roles, leading to a Harper’s Bazaar cover feature. But all the while he has been working on music, the results of which are now being released to an international following.
