ELLA ROSA SHARES NEW SINGLE, “FUN”

Rising dance-pop sensation Ella Rosa reveals her electrifying new single, “FUN,” out via Palm Tree Records.

Ella Rosa’s new single, “FUN,” is a masterclass in genre-blending, showcasing her fearless approach to fusing inspirations like UK garage, drum and bass, R&B, and bedroom-pop into something distinctly her own. Her hypnotic melodies blend seamlessly with infectious, pulse-pounding production, while her sweet yet commanding vocals lure listeners into a world of irresistible beats and captivating rhythms. With “FUN,” Ella cements her status as an innovative force in the left-of-center pop space.

I came up with the concept of ‘FUN’ when things were not fun at all,” she shares. “I had just moved to a daunting new city and felt pressure to fit in with the ‘cool kids.’ I fell into a weird little crown and discovered a mischievous side to myself I actually grew to love. I wrote the song in third person because, at the time, I struggled with disassociation and it felt like I was watching my life unfold from the sidelines. I wanted that feeling of eerie detachment to come through in the music, which is why the track almost sounds spooky.”

Ella’s musical journey began when she moved from the English countryside to New York City at the tender age of 11. Feeling displaced and homesick, she found solace listening to thoroughly English music like UK garage, drum and bass, and pop icons like the Spice Girls. By the time she was in college, her early passion for music had blossomed into a dual life—studying opera by day and sneaking off to underground parties by night, where she connected with DJs and began lending her vocals for EDM tracks. By her third year of college, Ella took a leap and returned to the UK to hone her sound and embrace her own artistic identity.

Now, back stateside and living in Los Angeles, Ella has continued to come into her own as an artist. She ended last year hitting 1 million streams on her single “OFF+ON” with veggi and has been collaborating with top producers like Anwar Sawyer (Audrey Nuna, Rihanna), Jeff Shum (Ella Mai, Demi Lovato), and CAMBO (Doja Cat, Steve Lacy), among others, further perfecting her gritty, genre-blending sound.

With her edgy visuals and effortlessly cool vibe, Ella has already caught the attention of tastemakers like PAPERComplex, and The Cut. Now signed with Palm Tree Records, Ella Rosa is poised to become one of pop’s most exciting stars.
