British Nigerian artist Adejosh is steadily becoming a prominent name in UK Afrobeats with a string of successful singles including “Issa Vibe” and “FYPM”. After teasing the release in April with a video featuring a dance routine withviral sensation ‘Mr Reload It’ himself @alexbasz, he finally unveils the long-awaited new single “Reload It”.
Coming in strong with a sensual, Afrobeats record, Adejosh brings a contemporary, youthful vibe to an otherwise timeless sound – production that has all the chops of traditional Afrobeats. To the sounds of saxophones, guitars and real afro-inspired rhythms, he decorates the track with his adlibs, Nigerian dialect and melodic vocals, culminating in a feel-good, danceable record.
The 24-year-old singer-songwriter has been involved in music from childhood. Developing a real passion in the church, he started off as a keyboardist and a session musician, learning the ins and outs of producing quality music whilst touring all over the UK from a young age until now.
With his first introduction to the scene coming with his 2016 ‘Confident EP’ with guest features from Afro B and New Age Musik, Adejosh has steadily grown in stature and in profile. He’s come a long way as he continues to work tirelessly in the studio to make music that mixes his experiences and multicultural influences, tapping into the sounds of Afrobeats, Dancehall, Hip Hop and R&B.
His fresh approach to music could certainly propel the UK music scene to further heights and this is exactly what he looks certain to bring in 2019.
