The titans assemble as two of the UK’s most celebrated emcees, Frisco and B-Live, lead the charge on new single ‘All Falls Down’ to celebrate the release of B-Live’s album ‘Wisdom Aint Cheap’.
Giving us everything we’d expect from two of the scenes most unique and distinctive voices, the guttural tones, eerie beat and skippy delivery are the perfect double strike combination for this status led joint. Accompanied by a monochrome visualiser that mirrors the staunch positioning of the track; the flow, wordplay and energy are brought to life with performance shots and ambiguous characters that add to the sinister tones. Adding yet another layer to the musical output from B-Live this year, ‘All Falls Down’ is in stark contrast to the club hit he started the year on but a perfect example of his expansive catalogue and versatility as an emcee.
The album itself is the culmination of decades of experience and a string of powerful singles that have proved to etch out a major year for bass legend B-Live aka Evil B. Kicking off the year with the powerhouse smash ‘Know About You’ featuring none other than Becky Hill & JME, released via Ministry of Sound, the record is continuing to take the world by storm and is currently tearing up international summer party destinations, surpassing 2 millions streams over on Spotify.
B-Live has kept his foot on the gas ever since, following up with the bouncing, reminiscent number ‘Foundation’, alongside Durrty Goodz, the duo lyrically explored their legacy and laid claim to their expansive roots within the British Black Music scene. More recently, he teamed up with yet another major name for the release of ‘Winter’s Coming’ as he sparred alongside multi-award winning, lyrical legend Harry Shotta. Now he’s back once again with not only a single, bit an album packed with energy, bass and a masterclass in music, featuring a line-up that reads like an encyclopaedia of UK music from the last 15 years.
The 14-track opus delves into styles, genres and energy alongside some of his closest musical family with the likes of Kele Le Roc, MC Neat, Sweetie Irie and Birmingham’s C4 joining the line up on previously unreleased tracks. From his discovery by the legendary DJ EZ to working with Skepta, Skibadee, Craig David, Harry Shotta, Newham Generals and Kele Le Roc (to name a few), B Live aka Evil B has become a name synonymous with every rave and festival you can think of, awarding him with a list of close musical friends that are tight within his circle. Smashing bass filled sets of garage, grime, dubstep, baseline and DnB, crowned as Sidewinder’s ‘Best MC’ at their award show, and also selected for the UKG Award by the industry, B Live has evolved in to an unstoppable juggernaut of lyrical style, energy and presence, and the album is a celebration of each and every element.
Delivering unquestionable authenticity at the cost of a musical journey that is littered by B-Live’s experience and evolution since the early 00’s, ‘Wisdom Aint Cheap’ is out now!
