Formosa
To gain some perspective, I decided to listen to Formosa’s previous release, Tight & Sexy, before give the new single a spin. These guys are some seriously bad-ass, hard-rocking Germans, the kind my Mom would describe as ‘naughty’. But gosh darn it all to heck, they are fun! With songs like “Better Dead Than Rat”, “Badass Bitches” and “Big Boob Babe”, you pretty much know what’s in store for you. As a trio, they pound through these songs like a steamroller. Fantastic hard rock that’s not unlike classic KISS or Judas Priest, though there are some resemblances to The Damned. Formosa is a tight outfit with some great, memorable songs. Furthermore, they seem to be winking their collective eyes at us.
Their new single “Love on the Highway” is 70s sounding rocker about life on the road. With its catchy melody and thumping bass, the tune is immediately likeable. A scorching guitar solo in the midst of the refrains highlights this raging tune, as the lead vocals enthusiastically delivers the gritty lyrics. Sounds like we have another winning album on the way!

Founded 2015 in Ruhr Valley, Essens trio FORMOSA has everything needed to rock your day!
