Born in Pekin, Illinois and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Heather Fay is a Pop/R&B singer, songwriter, musician and all around raw talent. Heather grasped her love for music from her parents who listened to a wide variety of artists, and as a result, she grew up listening to the likes of AC/DC, the Eagles, Whitney Houston, Eminem and everything in between.
From a very young age, Heather showed a strong affinity for all things music. As a child, she would perform on her karaoke machine for her family members and even taught herself to play the piano at the age of nine. She went on to further hone her talent by beginning to write songs on her piano melodies, in the third grade, and even became a part of her middle school and high school choirs. Not one to be boxed in, Heather harnessed her musical skills, but took her overall love of performing and went on to join her high school band and became a varsity cheerleader.
Heather always had a love for writing poems; those poems ultimately turned into songs which began to develop her skill as a songwriter. She states “Writing is something that I have always done and continue to do regularly whether it’s music, poetry or even just my thoughts. It’s therapeutic and a beautiful process, taking thoughts and feelings from your mind and translating them into the world we live in as art.”
