Jenny Plant Releases ‘Coming Home’

Jenny Plant releases her highly-anticipated single “Coming Home”. The track tempers mellow introspection with moments of gentle, soulful catharsis with an uplifting and inspiring finale.

The track boasts an impressive collection of musical minds, recorded at the legendary AIR studios with production maestro Maxwell Cooke (Ellie Golding, Gabrielle Aplin) and imprints from Sam Thompson on strings arrangements (credits including Ellie Goulding & The XX) and Chris Maas of Mumford and Sons on the drums and finally engineered by Tom Bailey (Thom Yorke, Florence and The Machine), the team around this single lay the foundations for a very promising release.

The release of “Coming Home” follows in the steps of her global release of the OST album for Death Stranding (2019), a hugely celebrated video game developed by Kojima Productions and distributed by Sony Entertainment.

Jenny’s vocals can be heard throughout the OST, notably appearing as a featured vocalist on the track entitled “BB’s THEME” – which has been streamed over 2,000,000 times across the main streaming platforms since its release on 30 October 2019. The OST has been shortlisted in the Best Score/Music category of The Game Awards 2019 which has since seen Jenny win Best Soloist with her prize to very possibly perform the BAFTA video game awards.

Most recently selling out St Pancras Old Church, Jenny’s live performances are not only individually touching but entirely unique. Rather than going for a generic support act, the show was opened by an African drumming troupe; followed by a contemporary dance number. Throughout the show there was a modern artist painting a picture of the performances… She wore a cape throughout the show.

“Coming Home” is the second track to be released from Jenny’s forthcoming EP “New Moon” due for release this coming May 15th. The EP draws influence from Carole King, Adele and Alicia Keys through to Enya, London Grammar and Jenny’s passion for film soundtracks.
