JERRY CASTLE RELEASES THE NEW APPALACHIAN SOUL ALBUM ‘MIDNIGHT TESTAMENTS’

Produced by Jerry, and mixed  by Craig Alvin (Kacey Musgraves), Jim Cooley (Luke Combs, Sam Hunt, Chris Janson), Warren Riker (The Fugees, Lauryn Hill, Santanta) and Chad Carlson (Taylor Swift, Hailey Whitters, Chase Rice). ‘Midnight Testaments’ presents music for all moods. From the happy to the heartbroken, equally suited to soundtracking afternoons on the highway or last orders at the bar. And stylistically, Jerry darts between lanes at will, from booze-soaked Americana, to soulful southern rock, rootsy country and anthemic heartland rock. It’s a vision that’s entirely his, and one that’s setting him up for a well-deserved breakthrough.

It’s also a record informed by his surroundings. It finds him revisiting the pedal steel guitar and soul music that resonated throughout his roots in the Appalachian Mountains. It was recorded at Trace Horse Studio in Nashville: Music City of course being not only the spiritual home of the music that Jerry excels at, but also a place with a like-minded community of world class musicians. The songs were all written in a tumultuous time in his life, during which he fell in love, got married, mourned the death of close friends and reflected on his life’s journey.
