Fading” is a song about the consequences of taking the people we love for granted. The track is alternative pop with some edgy lyrics that complement the fluid melodies and aggressive tonalities. The vocals were captured in a way that pays homage to both theatrics and true gut wrenching emotion. Kaleigh says of her inspiration for the song, “Each day people get lost in the aggravation and turmoil of life and forget to cherish the people in their lives that love and support them most of all.” She continues commenting that she: “wrote this song as a reminder to people to stop and think about what kind of effect neglect or lack of emotional expression can have on a person that you claim to love.” Kaleigh wanted to send a powerful and inspiring message to cherish the ones you love.
