Kone Mara Releases Heartfelt Single ‘Will You Live’

The Swedish up-and-coming alternative band Kone Mara is releasing their new heartfelt single ‘Will You Live’ today, January 21, through independent label Northbound Stockholm. The single is a live-favorite love ballad, showcasing front vocalist Ida’s vulnerable and bare voice accompanied by a Rhodes piano, building to a powerful crescendo.

Kone Mara debuted this summer with ‘The Ordinary Place’ which was supported by Spotify who added it to the playlist “Fresh Finds” and the biggest newspaper in Sweden, Dagens Nyheter “DN Kultur”, included it on “the week’s best tracks”. The debut was followed up by ‘Highway 1’ which also got praise in Sweden and internationally.

Kone Mara is a true live band who’s had, despite the pandemics, a busy fall in their native Sweden. Their release debut was followed up by three fully packed shows in Stockholm, which with only one released track at the time, must be considered unique. The fall included a residence at the popular Stockholm restaurant ‘Villa Dagmar’ and live shows for TEDxStockholm and Sofar Stockholm.
