Acclaimed multi-platinum artist Lil Skies unveils his highly-anticipated sixth album, The Evolution of the Rose, via Big Noise Music Group.
Working alongside alt-rock titan John Feldmann (Avril Lavigne / Blink-182), Lil Skies redefines his artistic boundaries, marking the dawn of his most fearless era yet. Filled with genre-bending tracks, the new album fuses alt-rock, hip-hop, and pop into a bold, emotionally charged body of work.
The 14-track collection of songs is a deeply personal celebration, filled with raw storytelling and sonic innovation. The Evolution of the Rose explores themes of love, fatherhood, loss, and self-discovery grounded with introspection.
Lil Skies is best known for his dynamic sound, explosive stadium performances, and a devoted loyal fanbase that’s fueled billions of cumulative streams and views, and a massive social media following. He carved out his reputation with breakout hits like “Lust,” “I,” “Red Roses,” and “Nowadays,” earning him multi-platinum status as an artist.
The album’s lead single “Burn” sets the tone for this new evolution. “Burn” featuring long time hit making collaborator Landon Cube, is a powerful sonic eruption of truth, survival, and creative fearlessness with an existential undercurrent. His vehement vocals and an in-your-face delivery collide with alt rock drenched guitars for a cathartic and gripping listen. Lil Skies confides, “It’s growing through the fire, pushing myself creatively, and really leaning in when it comes to being authentic to myself.” This authenticity rings true as he creates his most personal and compelling music to date.
To celebrate his new album, he hits the stage for a stadium show with Trippie Redd & Friends for Girls Are Dr*gs at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California September 12th.
