Michèle Ducray – THRONE OF ME

Michèle Ducray is a talented artist who’s worked with Simon Gooding (Dua Lipa, Pink), Pacific Heights (Drax Project, Shapeshifter), Liam Quinn (Delta Goodrem, Rita Ora), and DJ RUEBIK. Signed to Antipodes Records, her music has been featured on some of NZ’s biggest radio stations and this year performed at Bay Dreams and Electric Avenue. A self-confessed “fan of the peculiar”, Michèle is inspired by mysterious and sinister themes such as horror and the colourful characteristics of circus life.

 Her sound is characterised by a mix of intoxicating vocals, deep drum & bass, and lucid pop melodies for a melancholic yet energetically upbeat immersion of seductive tones. Now’s the time to step into Michèle Ducray’s dark-pop world by listening to her daring debut EP THRONE OF MINE.  The musical collection is a four track whimsical, edgy, and playful synth left of center pop journey. On the meaning of the EP she confides, “The EP showcases some pivotal times of my life. Using both dark and light pop vibes, I reminisce about my childhood, bullying, failed relationships, and even sing about the world ending! It’s a deeply personal record and some parts were tough to record, but we got there in the end!”
