‘Stay Here’ is N.O.A.H’s latest release, while being self-produced it was mixed and finessed by Grammy Winning Ruadhri Cushnan. N.O.A.H indulges in all things indie-synth-pop, from groovy bass lines, 80’s inspired synths and an irresistible chorus. Amongst the noise, the lyrics depict raw and honest storytelling. The lyricist observes, confronts and comforts a friend in need, offering an unconditional, selfless vow to help without the need for recognition.
N.O.A.H formed back in January 2020, on the cusp of a global pandemic, after finishing college, at BIMM Dublin and MU, the group decided to reform an old musical endeavour. Obsessed with the idea of creating something new and a relentless desire to be heard, a fresh canvas was needed. Thus the band took inspiration in its naming from the biblical story of ‘Noah and the Ark’, the ultimate new beginnings story.
After spending months writing and getting their creative juices flowing through writing, recording and developing as a band, they released their debut single ‘Shine’ in September 2020. It received a huge response with the likes of Laura Whitmore on BBC5Live and Ireland’s RTE2 FM and many others. Signing to Mother Artists Live Agency was the next step on their agenda and it was easy for it to fruit.
Last October, the band released their debut EP ‘Echoes of the Night’ which was a blistering project that set the tone for the band instantly – it grabbed the attention on an international scale. The past few months have seen the three-piece appearing on CBBC’s Saturday Mash-Up Live where they made their debut TV performance.
Speaking on the track, the band commented: “Stay Here is a song we’ve always wanted to make, it’s musically explorative and pulls from a multitude of influences that we have never really shown before.”
