Burgeoning Chinese avant-pop artist Noshvia Wu is surely becoming known as one of Asia’s newest gems. Though a part of the post-2000 generation, she’s a seasoned singer/songwriter and producer with a wealth of knowledge who is beginning to make waves. On the cusp of treading new markets, she formally introduces herself with the release of her debut single “Question Mark”.
Noshvia taps Dutch E Germ from WARP for the new release and together they have created something that veers away from conventional production and presents as obscure yet beautiful electronica. With a unique blend of strings and bold percussion serving as the basis to this brooding track, the additional inclusion of intricate sounds throughout givestexture and the atmospheric aura in her vocal performance compliments.
Having learnt to play the Chinese Zither and Piano from the tender age of four, Noshvia Wu has been musically inclined from such a young age, meticulously honing her craft with great success. A recognised international song writing talent from her teenage years, she ascends to the next level withenrolment at the prestigious Berklee College of Music.
Noshvia Wu is a serious artist with major ambitions,currently gearing up to release her first ever album. Inspired by the classic literary protagonist Orlando, her forthcoming album ‘Night Swim’ expresses the awakening in her maturity and gives room for freedom and imagination. Tapping seriously acclaimed producers to assist in the project from Jam City to Soulspeak and Fishdoll, Noshvia Wu is set to capitalise on her position and give a new take on the pop sound.
