Radharani Releases Her Second Album “Time To Wake Up”

This week sees the release of the second album by New York’s soulful songstress Radharani, who sings of the growing pains and revelations of today’s seekers in blends of dark grooves and lulling ballads.

Making waves with her debut in 2016, “Just One Drop” was, as Yoga Journal called it, “an album of exceptional purity”. Radharani’s voice was hailed as “pristine” and “haunting”, inviting comparisons to Snatam Kaur, and her deep emotionality spoke to a new generation of hip and conscious yoga-doers, drawing fans from all over the globe.

“Time To Wake Up”, her upcoming second release, is a bridge into realms of Adult Contemporary music, with an emphasis on English lyrics. She presents us with the songs that have brought her audiences to tears, songs with themes of hope, motivation, joy, introspection, loss and connection. She says, “when the audience cries, I know I’ve done my job. They have let the music in, and it has helped them release something that didn’t belong. This is the goal of my music.”

Radharani’s intention is to accompany the growing pains and revelations of today’s seekers. She says, “I see the album as a tool-kit of support for courageous moments.”

Radharani spent the better part of a decade learning from great spiritual teachers in India and journeying to remote pilgrimage places to engage in lengthy meditation practices. Since then, she has graced the stage at some of the biggest yoga-music festivals such as Omega Ecstatic Chant, Bhakti Fest, and Ahimsa Festival.

“Time to Wake Up” features artists and producers behind some of the most acclaimed Grammy-nominated albums within the yoga music scene.

The first single, the album’s title track, is described by Radharani as a call to shed what no longer serves and do what we “came here to do”.

Both the single and album have been made available to radio along with a full radio interview and song hooks.
