With his latest single “Remember to Forget,” Passenger (Mike Rosenberg) tells the story of another character in the world of Songs For The Drunk And Broken Hearted — the guy who refuses to call it a night. Rosenberg says, “This song is for all of those people that never want to go to bed after a night out and just want to stay out drinking for as long as they can. I’ve definitely been that guy before, and I know a few others that have. The idea of having to be on your own in a dark room with ringing in your ears is not a pleasant one.”
Out January 8th, Songs For The Drunk And Broken Hearted is an album populated by drunk and broken hearted characters. Most of the songs were written following Rosenberg’s own breakup. He reflects, “You’re incredibly vulnerable for a few months. You’re so used to the safety of being with somebody and suddenly you’re out in the world on your own. And you get pissed and probably make some bad decisions. It’s universal. Most everyone goes through it at some stage.”
With an authentic and engaging live show that has won over scores of fans and critics around the globe and allowed him to headline some of the world’s most famous stages. Passenger now invites fans to an intimate evening at London’s famed Royal Albert Hall for an exclusive performance film that will be broadcast on January 10, 2021 to celebrate the album’s release. Everyone who pre-orders the album receives priority access to the event and will receive Remember To Forget, Suzanne, A Song For The Drunk and Broken Hearted, The Way That I Love You and London In The Spring as instant downloads.
