Remy Reilly has captured Dallas’ heart–and that of its citizens. At just 15, the pop singer-songwriter has become a staple of the Dallas-Fort Worth music scene, releasing critically-lauded original music while working alongside some of the city’s most talented producers and musicians.
Ever determined to push the boundaries of her artistry and creativity, Reilly will continue her trend of top-tier collaborations with her upcoming single, “Burn.” The song and its accompanying artists gave Reilly an opportunity to do what she loves: Explore alongside fellow talented musicians.
In this case, the pop songstress teamed up with members of the critically-acclaimed Americana band The Vandoliers, who have garnered media attention from the likes of Rolling Stone Country, No Depression, and VICE. “Burn,” a collaboration with producer and bassist John Pedigo and The Vandoliers front man Josh Fleming, also features Vandoliers band mates Corey Graves on horns, Guyton Sanders on drums, and Travis Curry on fiddle.
Fleming heard the song at Fort Worth Live and reached out to Reilly to record the tune. Reilly enjoyed the vibes this talented team brought to the studio, and how they elevated her creativity to new heights. “John and Josh brought a different perspective to my music,” Reilly says of the musicians best known for their alt-country sound. “They pushed me vocally, pushed me outside my comfort zone.”Her new collaborators have praise for Reilly, too. “Because she is so young and just getting going, we’re all lucky as hell to get to hear more and more from the insanely talented Remy Reilly in the coming years,” Pedigo says. “It’s not if but when she breaks.
You don’t have to be told so — just use your ears.” Fleming agrees—and reserves special praise for the singer’s vocal power. “Good lord, that voice,” he says. “Remy’s talent is undeniable, and her mastery of songwriting is fluid and honest. This is just the beginning for her.” For Reilly, “Burn” is yet another opportunity to show her growing fanbase she has pedigree far beyond the realm of pop.
The artist continues to expand her ability to traverse and excel within multiple genres, but no matter the collaborator or the genre, Reilly remains committed to providing her growing audience with continuously engaging and entertaining creations. “I hope this song broadens my audience,” Reilly says. “And I hope that people enjoy a different side of me.” Remy Reilly’s new single “Burn” featuring The Vandoliers, will be available for purchase on iTunes and
