London-born Folk artist Seth Tabatznik is gearing up to unveil his sophomore album, Awakening Embers, with its stirring focus track ‘Pacha Mama’, landing on the 20th of February, 2026 via Moth Music (Mother Of The Heart). The album arrives alongside a live performance on the Forest Stage at South Africa’s renowned Retreat Yourself Festival, marking a significant milestone in Seth’s evolving journey. The project will be officially launched on the 14th and 15th of March at a curated live event at the Boschendal Farm in the heart of South Africa’s winelands, designed to showcase the album in an intimate, immersive setting. The evening will feature a live performance of the new material alongside storytelling elements that explore the themes behind the record. Attendance is limited and advance registration is required. Seth will also perform at Reforest Fest in April, at the Bodhi Khaya Nature Retreat in South Africa.
Seth is quickly emerging as a standout voice in the indie folk scene with his recently released singles off the album ‘Shining For Love’ and ‘Choose To Be Alive’, receiving support from tastemakers such as CLASH Magazine and EARMILK. Having only begun releasing music in 2024, Seth has already garnered over 200,000 streams across platforms and counting. His foray into the live circuit has also proven successful, with a sold-out debut performance at Boschendal Estate in Cape Town, South Africa, and a sold-out show at Green Note in London’s Camden district.
Raised in London and now based in South Africa’s Western Cape mountains, Seth’s artistry is deeply rooted in both place and purpose. His acoustic folk and medicine music carries a reverence for the earth, weaving soulful harmonies and heartfelt lyrics with an authenticity that bridges ancient wisdom and modern sound. Mentored by Nick Mulvey, who played a formative role in shaping Awakening Embers, and inspired by his guitar teacher Rainer Scheurenbrand, Seth’s compositions reflect a unique synthesis of guidance, lived experience, and spiritual exploration. His forthcoming album will be sure to ensnare fans of Ben Howard, Blanco White and Gregory Alan Isakov.
From the tender hymnal opener ‘Dear Nature’ to the poetic global sounds of the final track ‘We Are Walking Home’, Awakening Embers is a reverent ode to nature, healing, and unity wrapped in a soft indie-folk exterior. The focus track ‘Pacha Mama’ echoes this sentiment, and unfurls like a gentle sonic caress. The ethereal track tells a tale of transformation and growth, while it’s anchored with the warmth of steady drums, tender guitar licks, a shaker as well as Seth’s silken vocals and profound storytelling ability.
Speaking on the album, Seth shared: “I don’t have many regrets in life, but after hearing the sound of this album, which was recorded in the studio, I really wish I had now recorded the first album in there rather than at home. This album is sounding amazing and am super excited to be sharing it with the world. It was a lot of fun to put together, one of those processes that just emerged from a flow state effortlessly like it wanted to be born. The whole thing took just a few months from conceiving the songs to completing the mixing.”
