Recorded in Los Angeles with producer Wayne Miller, The Things I Do is the latest single from New Zealand Alt-Pop act Skymachine, following up from their debut EP ‘Young Guns’. After spending much of 2016 travelling around the world, their latest offering looks at the desire we have to fit in, while finding ourselves in being ourselves.
The band recently completed their innovative new tour format “Secret Spots Tour”, performing at geothermal waterfalls, WWII army bunkers, and
seaside clifftops around their home country of New Zealand, with locations kept secret until the day of the show. A short film documenting the tour will be released to accompany The Things I Do, showcasing the band performing it live, spliced between tour antics and general tour mayhem.
The Things I Do is a summer anthem, bringing back the big toms of the late 80’s, and blending funky guitars with big synths.
