The single lands off the back of a career defining moment for SOFY, whose trajectory continues to grow exponentially. Bringing an undeniably refreshing sound to modern pop music and being a huge football fan herself, it was inevitable that previous single ‘Big Talk’ was selected for the FIFA 23 soundtrack, placing SOFY’s name alongside many incredible others, including Loyle Carner, FKA Twigs, Slowthai and ROSALIA. With the game played by millions around the world, it is this momentum for ‘Egomaniac’ that see’s SOFY continually hit the ground running with each of her releases.
In anticipation of her second EP ‘Bored in Colour (Pt.2)’, SOFY delivered her first exciting instalment, ‘Big Talk’, that aside from the FIFA 2023 Soundtrack success, also turned heads throughout the media world, receiving high praise from Dork, Noctis, House of Solo and Record of the Day. Further support came from Radio 1, having impressed Mollie King for a ‘Future Pop Track’ slot and receiving 2 plays by long-standing SOFY supporter Jack Saunders.
Egomaniac’ will release alongside a retro music video in addition to her sold-out headline show at Omeara, London on November 30th.
