Teebo Announces Video for New Single “Liquor”

Teebo shares his new video for his latest single “Liquor.” The track is an intimate take on relationships and how two people can first meet and quickly enter a very deep state of mind and spirit; questioning the boundaries and barriers we put in front of our relationships. Like good liquor, the tracks lyrics and melodies flow smoothly, adding a sensual tone to the song.

The inspiration behind “Liquor” is Teebo’s difficult times finding a home, and the loss of both his grandmother and father. “I see it as a tropical, flowery anthem that celebrates differences and freedom.”

Teebo’s video is eerie, yet totally captivating. The video features a green-lit Teebo against a dark, cherry-red background. Teebo never leaves the frame as he dances eccentrically; at times gazing his seductive eyes directly at his viewers. While Teebo is moving offbeat to the tempo, his movements demonstrate the ways many of us can be and have been affected by music: it takes over our body as we are left with no control.

Teebo is obsessed with pop culture, fashion, and its capacity to change the world. He states that he admires artists who embody a concept and stand up for who they are as humans. This positivity is a stance in defiance of his challenging start in life. Teebo was born in France as Ahmed Djabi to an Algerian mother, and abandoned at a hospital. He spent many of his early years in and out of orphanages and host families – to then be adopted at the age of 5, changing his name to Thibault.

Teebo would go on to live in many different countries, and this experience of traveling since such a young age has given him the opportunity to explore human nature in depth. Despite often times having trouble finding a home, he learned that home is everywhere as long as you’re happy. Being grounded, reflective, and often times over thinking; living in many countries has taught him that no matter the problem, there is always a solution somewhere. This attitude is reflected throughout Teebo’s compositions.
