THE TEARAWAYS HONOUR THE MEMORY OF JOHN FERRITER WITH UK TOUR

Featuring legendary Blondie drummer Clem Burke, The Tearaways have been inundated by well-wishers since the sudden passing of the former William Morris Board Member, TV executive and full time Beatles fan – John Ferriter. Tributes have flooded in from around the world including Ryan Seacrest, Piers Morgan, Mark Wright and Peter Andre.

Piers Morgan shared an emotional tribute to John Ferriter on Twitter, telling his followers the manager had “enriched” his life. “RIP John Ferriter, 59. My brilliant manager and ferociously loyal, kind, charismatic and supremely talented friend,”the Good Morning Britain host said. “I trusted him with my life, and he enriched my life so much”.

The influential Santa Barbara band The Tearaways pay tribute to their bass player with a new double A-side single. It features the new track ‘Calipopicana’, which echoes The Beach Boys and The Beatles alongside the recent The Wrecking Crew, which Steven Van Zandt (AKA Little Steven) picked as The Coolest Song In The World on Sirius XM’s Underground Garage.

The two tracks preview their forthcoming studio album ‘We Grew Up On AM Radio’.  Already recorded with John – it’s the bands sixth album and will be released later this year.

The band return to the UK this summer for an intimate tour which includes a show at London’s historic 100 Club as well as four sets at Liverpool’s International Beatle week Festival.  The band would like to apologise to fans who have bought tickets for cancelled tour dates.
