Tobias’ recent single ‘One Day’ was featured by leading publications such as Mixmag Germany, Mixmag Netherlands, and House Music With Love, received airplay from National Canadian radio station CBC Music’s Afterdark and KCRW’s Metropolis shows and was added to Spotify’s Electronic Rise editorial playlist. His track ‘Voices’ has surpassed 22 Million streams followed by ‘Sunset Wave’ with over 17 Million streams which have earned him spots on Spotify playlists like Chillout Lounge, Chill Tracks, and Deep House Relax to mention a few. Having performed at venues and festivals like Spring Festival in Austria, Tobias is steadily carving a name for himself in the industry and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
Bergson’s passion for music began at 17, not through traditional instruments but by immersing himself in programming and music production on his computer. The Austrian producer creates emotive, melancholic tracks that skillfully blend dancefloor euphoria with intimate emotiveness. At the heart of Bergson’s work is a desire to convey his emotions and experiences, resulting in intricate, haunting melodies that offer a melancholic yet familiar atmosphere. Inspired by Deadmau5, Ben Böhmer, Rampa and Chris Malinchak, his mesmerising tracks are reminiscent of a vast array of influences, with elements of deep house, techno, progressive, lounge, and house. ‘Slowly’ is a masterful brew of liquid soul drum & bass and will ensnare fans of Bicep, Braxton and Jon Gurd. Exploring Bergson’s discography reveals a rich tapestry of sound and deeply-felt artistry.
‘Slowly’ begins with twinkling pads that carry Barefoot’s reverb-soaked vocals, setting the spacious yet passionate tone for the whole song. The track launches with a driving bassline, a shuffling breakbeat, atmospheric chords and stuttering synths. Tobias has crafted a meticulous masterpiece, buoyed by a distinct feeling of delicate euphoria.
Tobias shared: “I spent a lot of time working with UK house beats during that period, and by chance, I stumbled upon this synth stutter-house sound. The sound comes from the VST plugin Hive. Altogether, it sounded really good to me. Back then, I got Simon’s contact (Barefoot) through a label. I sent him a few songs, and this one stood out to him in particular. Three days later, he sent me a rough demo, and I was blown away—I’ve rarely heard such a clear voice. The whole project then sat around for months until now, when we’re planning to release it in mid-February.”
