Tronge
Hailing from Buenos Aires, Tronge is Juan Pablo Mendez Trongé and his band. They have two new songs available on Soundcloud and Youtube. “Pines” is a touching break-up song with all the regret and sorrow that involves. But there is still a sense of triumph and resignation at the same time. Soft acoustic strumming accompanies his soulful voice, vaguely reminiscent of Bon Iver. Also acoustic, the track “June” is a gentle, impressionistic ballad that excels in its simplicity. I like the fact the neither song ever strays from a sense of calm that envelopes the entire production. A perfect, chilled listening experience.
