Having revealed their latest track ‘All On Me’ just last week, Wildwood Kin continue their rich vein of form by sharing their new song ‘Time Has Come’ It comes two weeks ahead of the release of their self-titled second album on October 4th.
‘Time Has Come’ immediately bursts into life with thunderous, rolling drums before the band’s sumptuous harmonies take centre-stage. Quickly becoming a favourite moment of their live shows, it radiates passion and defiance with the promise, “We will rise like the burning sun.”
The band commented, “This track is all about empowerment, and an encouragement to stand up and fight for what you believe in. It’s about how everyone has a voice and the capability to change the world around them for the better.”
The four tracks that have previewed Wildwood Kin’s new album showcase the depth of their sound and the resonance of their lyrical themes. While ‘Time Has Come’ demonstrates that acoustic rock can possess a fiery power, ‘All On Me’ escalates towards a climactic crescendo. Both unifying, dramatic and haunting, ‘Never Alone’contrasts nicely with the pure elegance of the hymnal and Radio 2 playlisted ‘Beauty In Your Brokenness’. The consistently beguiling ten-track album is evidence that Wildwood Kin have raised the bar.
Wildwood Kin are comprised of the Key sisters Emillie (guitar) and Beth (bouzouki) along with their cousin Meg Loney (drums). It’s a truly democratic band, with each member having an equal amount of input.
Wildwood Kin will follow the new album by embarking upon a headline tour throughout November and December. Highlights include at London headline show at Omeara as well as a homecoming date at The Lemon Grove in Exeter.
