ZEETEAH MASSIAH SET TO RELEASE ‘WAT A TING’

Having worked and collaborated with some of the most iconic names in music, including Robbie Williams, Tom Jones, Boy George and Paul Weller, Zeeteah Massiah is set to release her brand-new single ‘Wat A Ting’ on 4 February. Its dance groove and reggae style beats are irresistible, but its candid lyrics pack a real punch.

In her prime dance years during the 90s, Zeeteah performed the hit ‘Back To The Old School’ with the Bassheads live on Top of the Pops, before being scooped up by Union Records – the Virgin dance label – which helped her land her first number 1 hit on the US Billboard Dance Charts.

With a huge musical history behind her, Zeeteah is best known for her US number one dance hit ‘Slide On The Rhythm’ and her UK hits ‘Sexual Prime’ and ‘This Is The Place’ (on Virgin Records) as well as being the lead singer in Lady Love, which made headlines as the first ever Western group to perform in the Soviet Union when they toured Poland with Mungo Jerry. On her return, iconic reggae label Trojan Records snapped her up and released three singles – a reggae version of the Jackson 5’s ‘I’m Still Waiting’, ‘We got A Good Thing Going’ and ‘A Love Like Yours Don’t Come Knocking Every Day’.

Now Zeeteah has brand new music ready to go, and ‘Wat A Ting’ is the first release. It has a spring in its step with peppy beats and powerful vocals.

Speaking about the track, Zeeteah said: “What’s going on? The world has gone mad. We’re in a never-ending pandemic. Half of America worships a psychopath. And millions of people believe bonkers conspiracy theories. Wat a ting!

Zeeteah is set to release her third album shortly, produced by her husband and musical partner Paul Caplin.
