AR/CO SHARE THE NEW SINGLE ‘ALL OVER THE WORLD’

Late summer might be a melancholy time for some, but it’s been a great time to be AR/CO. The psychedelic dance-pop duo have taken their futuristic desert rave into arenas across Europe as guests to 5 Seconds of Summer, and also returned to Radio 1 for their latest Hottest Record accolade, this time for their Hayden James collab ‘We Could Be Love’. It’s also therefore a fine time to fall under AR/CO’s spell, especially as they now share the brand new single ‘All Over The World’.

With ‘All Over The World’, AR/CO deliver the kind of dopamine-shot dance hit that we’ve come to expect from the duo. Swooning sun-kissed vocal harmonies, beats that put a leap in your step, sparkling synths and a summery twang of guitar all elevate the ‘All Over The World’ mood to exultant. And while the dominant lyric “I just wanna dance all over the world”provides a prime earworm hook for TikTok creations, the fact that the song was inspired by a less positive moment only adds to its air of ecstatic sonic defiance.

AR/CO – Mali-Koa and Leo Stannard – explain, “It’s nice to know that you can write melancholic dance songs that make you feel a little more understood after you listen to them. ‘All Over The World’ is one of those, we wrote it in the summer of last year in Brighton with Toby Scott and Paul Harris and it was a day of honest, feeling-led songs. This one’s about picking yourself up in the face of change and heartbreak and moving through it.”

The track was produced by Quarterhead (Cheat CodesElla Henderson), Toby Scott and Paul Harris.

Since coming together during lockdown, AR/CO have been relishing every moment of their mission to bring people back together in the best of times. A host of big names have enlisted AR/CO’s magic touch for features or collaborations, leading to big moments alongside Don DiabloThe Stickmen Project, Sub Focus220 KIDTeisto, Hayden James, Franky WahWill Clarke and Jaded, while their solo tracks – ‘Night Feels’, ‘Call Me By My Name’ and ‘MOVE’ – have made a similar impact.

Along the way, AR/CO have earned repeated support at Radio 1Capital Dance and Apple Music from key supporters including Danny Howard, Arielle FreeSir Elton John, Gemma BradleyMistajam and Maia Beth. In addition to the 5 Seconds of Summer tour, they also played a large outdoor London show as guests to Kygo, reprised their collaboration withFranky Wah for a Radio 1 Skylight Session, and played the Mad Cool Festival.
