Brittany Clarke Releases New Single “Dirty”

Heavily influenced by her parents’ vinyl collection which was filled with the likes of Joni Mitchell, Aretha Franklin, and Van Morrison, it seemed to follow the natural order of things that Brittany has evolved into the artist that she is today. A tone and style reminiscent of the early female jazz greats, spliced with lyrical leanings of 60’s folk which have then been folded together with R&B grooves, yield this warm yet familiar flavour that leaves the listener feeling elevated and at the same time understood.

After moving to NYC in the fall of 2016 from Toronto, ON, Brittany has amassed an impressive collection of achievements. Selected to participate with ASCAP in the Harry Chapin Songwriting Workshop in Nov. 2017, Semi-finalist in the R&B Category for The Canadian Songwriting competition for her self-produced track titled “Reprieve(Acoustic Sessions), as well as earning her first music placement in a feature film have given her the confidence to continue reaching higher. Brittany has also been busy collaborating and co-writing with other accomplished songwriters in Los Angeles, Nashville, Toronto and New York, Earning her features with groups like Peter Graham & The Feel Goods, Graffiti Royale, Kerry Blu and The Swim Team.

In earning radio play on K100, Party 101.9 xm with Bobby Simmons and 950 Lounge with Kevin Pryor, and contributing to the communities of New York Songwriters Collective and Women In Music (NYC), Brittany has wasted no time.
