Reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year Cody Johnson is releasing a brand-new song today, “Horseback.” Written by Randy Montana, Wyatt McCubbin, and Paul Sikes and produced by Trent Willmon, the single will premiere at country radio on Monday, June 15. “Horseback” is available across all digital platforms. Cody will perform the song on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on June 24.
This is the debut single off Cody’s forthcoming 16-song album, Banks Of The Trinity, set for release on June 26, 2026. The album features collaborations with Luke Combs and Brothers Osborne.
“Horseback” follows Cody’s recent #1 song “The Fall,” which peaked at radio the same week he took home the coveted Entertainer of the Year and Male Artist of the Year honors at the 61st annual ACM Awards, held in Las Vegas on May 17.
