Della Memoria

Synth-rock duo Della Memoria follow up their sophomore EP The Ebb with this beautiful, new single “Yours”.  First and foremost,  the song hooks you immediately with Sholes’ breathy, laid-back vocals.  Backed by dreamy synth soundscapes, “Yours” features a smooth, low-key melody that perfectly matches Sholes’ voice.  Unlike some earlier work from the band, the instrumentation is minimal in comparison.  The track maintains a much more ethereal, moody feel while still managing to be radio-friendly.

Furthermore, the production on this single is stellar.  Mastered by Stuart Hawkes (Amy Winehouse, Ed Sheeran, Lorde), he captures a sleeker version of Della Memoria, one that really brings the vocals to the forefront.  But not at the expense of the entire production of the track.  You can check out this new track on Spotify, Pandora and Apple Music.  And don’t miss the accompanying video.

Influenced by singers such as Fiona Apple and Cat Power, Emily Sholes developed a love for singing and songwriting at an early age.  All which comes across in her haunting vocals and lyrical content.  Della Memoria self-released their debut EP, Beautiful Dream, in November of 2014.  The band released their second EP, The Ebb, in 2017.   Della Memoria is Emily Sholes and Josh Smith.
