FINNEAS REVEALS OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO FOR ‘2001’DIRECTED BY CLAUDIA SULEWSKI,STARRING FINNEAS AND KATE HUDSON

multiple GRAMMY® and Academy Award-winning artist, composer and producer FINNEAS reveals the official music video for his popular song ‘2001,’ from his critically acclaimed sophomore release For Cryin’ Out Loud! [Interscope Records]. Directed by Claudia Sulewski, the playful music video stars FINNEAS, a lovestruck actor on-set yearning for his nonchalant on-screen director, played by actress and singer/songwriter Kate Hudson.

Director, Claudia Sulewski shares: “When I first started conceptualizing this music video, I knew I wanted to pay homage to “2001: A Space Odyssey,” with nods to some of the film’s most iconic set ups like the fisheye lens and the upside-down sequence, along with a few little easter eggs from the behind-the-scenes of the film (Finneas shaking his head while traveling through space, the diorama reveal at the end).To play off Finneas’s lyrics, I wanted to mix in some light, cheeky moments between Finneas and Kate. An actor hopelessly in love with his director, who couldn’t care less and is only focused on making a great film.”

Today’s video follows the ten-time GRAMMY® and two-time Academy Award-winning FINNEAS’ SOLD-OUT headline tour across the U.K., Europe, New Zealand, Australia and North America this year, as well as his highly lauded television scoring debut for Alfonso Cuarón’s acclaimed Apple TV+ limited series Disclaimer.
