Louisiana piano-pop act Hunter deBlanc has debuted a new single; inspired by his recent tour of Australia, deBlanc’s infectious, mesmerizing and heart-on-sleeve brand of songwriting comes to the fore on “Sydney”.
The follow up to “Tides”, which dropped earlier this year, “Sydney” is out now, and streaming via Spotify.

Since 2013, Hunter deBlanc has been crafting his own brand of alternative pop; utilizing synth-pop hooks a la CHVRCHES and The 1975, blended with the piano driven sensibility of Elton John or Billy Joel. What started out as a piano-heavy pop/rock project has evolved into a more refined brand of alternative pop, with a synth that dances, mesmerizing, intertwining with deBlanc’s intricate and uplifting vocal delivery.
Drawing on influence from his international touring and travels, 2017’s Daydreaming record proved to be a breakout release from deBlanc, with 2018 follow-up singles “Tides” and “Sydney” taking his fan base international and – unsurprisingly – scoring the young Louisiana native a swathe of Australian fans in the process.
