Ichabod Wolf’s debut single is a solid introduction to his deep, soulful vocals, and tragedy-tinged lyricism. The singer-songwriter toes the line between light and dark, with bleak landscapes interrupted by stabs of equally bleak humour.
Ichabod says of the album: “With these songs, I hope to offer an alternative to the arts’ default portrayal of northern council-estates as sensationalised squalor. Instead I have written about what I’ve seen; beautiful souls in unforgiving times.”
‘The Fall of Saigon‘ is out today via The Adult Teeth Recording Company.
The debut album ‘Carry On, Crow‘ will be released on Hallowe’en 2018.
