ISLA CROLL SHARES A NEW FAMILY CHRISTMAS CLASSIC WITH THE NEW SONG AND VIDEO ‘PLEASE COME BACK FOR CHRISTMAS’

Christmas gifts are a big part of what makes the season so exciting, but ultimately the real joy comes with the opportunity to spend time with family and friends – especially if it’s been so long since you’ve seen each other. And that’s the message behind ‘Please Come Back For Christmas’, the new festive song and video from Isla Croll.

Please Come Back For Christmas’ is an instant Christmas classic, adding a new take on the tradition of all-time festive favourites such as Darlene Love’s ‘Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)’ and Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’. And much like those songs, the joy provided by Isla’s glorious vocals and the unmistakable sleigh bells is matched by an undercurrent of sadness of longing for a reunion with that special someone.

The song becomes all the more emotionally engaging with the help of its animated video. The story starts just a few days after Christmas, when a young girl heads to the rehoming centre to give a dog its forever home. There she meets Mungo, a dog that appears to have given up hope of ever being adopted. It’s love at first sight and soon they’re inseparable.

‘Please Come Back For Christmas’ was written and produced by East Dulwich resident Alex Martin – and it’s also remarkable for being the first song he has ever professionally released. Looking for a singer with the talent and personality to allow the song to reach its full potential, he connected with the rising 17-year-old singer/songwriter Isla Croll.
