JAMES GILLESPIE Releases “HOLD ME DOWN”

With his most recent double offering “Kerosene” and “Beyond Today” drawing in listeners once again and amassing over 7M streams and rising, English born, Scottish-raised singer/songwriter James Gillespiecontinues to turn heads as he reaffirms his name as anundeniable rising star. As he gears up for his forthcoming debut album, we are treated yet again with another release – James’ latest single “Hold Me Down”. 

James Gillespie adds to his impressive catalogue of beloved songs with a new cut that elevates to yet another level of vulnerability in the same poetic form that fans have come to love from the alternative artist. “Hold Me Down” builds on a base of soul-stirring production with beautiful guitar plucks, subtle tinges of electronica and James’ grit-filled vocals, in equal parts chilling and wholesome.

Summarising the sentiments, James puts it best: “It’s being stuck in a position that you can’t get out of. You know it’s wrong – there is nothing you can do to get out and part of you doesn’t want to…. Even if it means you get burnt. I don’t even know why. It’s the fight between head and heart.”
