JJ McGuigan
With his evocative guitar playing and solid songwriting, JJ McGuigan releases his new song “Home”. As a followup to his previous single “Letter” from the latest EP, this new track is a beautiful musing on the definition and meaning of home. While the lyrics ponder the journey of life with its unsettledness, the melody is a laid-back, gentle pop song with country leanings. Also, the vocals of Garrett Crow render the material with an emotional phrasing that pulls you in. The guitar solo has a bluesy feel that appropriately reflects the lyrical content. Pick up his EP Dissociative for some of the most insightful, honest songwriting around.
