M.I.L.K. Shares New Single ‘Silly Rabbit’

Denmark’s genre-defying M.I.L.K shares new single ‘Silly Rabbit’, a chilled out subtly jazz and hip-hop infused slice of pop-rap with buckets of Nordic pop sensibility.

‘Silly Rabbit’ is the result of a meeting between M.I.L.K. and producer Gianluca Buccelati who has turned heads with his work with Arlo Parks, Easy Life, Kevin Abstract and more. It’s the second single, following ‘French Girl Effect’ featuring Benny Sings, to be taken from M.I.L.K’s forthcoming new album of the same name expected early next year.

‘Silly Rabbit’ offers a more vulnerable side to the singer-songwriter, exploring his hopes and dreams from childhood to current day, with an honest account of the music industry’s highs and lows.

As M.I.L.K explains “The music business is crazy. Every artist who goes into it must be crazy and if not they’ll for sure leave it a little crazier then they came in. The song is about me making my way through the industry, which requires you to be a ‘Silly Rabbit’ to survive and not let your artistry be killed by the amateurs who act as gatekeepers in this business, those who mainly care about their ego being stroked, rather than good art and true connections with the people”.

Since the release of M.I.L.K’s debut album ‘Following The Sun’ (2016) – which garnered attention from the world’s biggest tastemakers such as SPIN, NME, Rolling Stone, Jalouse and Numéro magazines and  led to his signing to Capitol Records – M.I.L.K’s music has had over 50 million streams and airplay across Europe. He has collaborated with some of the biggest French artists such as Benjamin Biolay, Nemir, Møme and The Avener, and a long list of international artists including indie cult figure Benny Sings, Scandinavian alt.pop-star Soleima, pianist prodigy August Rosenbaum, reggae legend Tiken jah Fakoly and finally Brazilian rap icon Criolo.
