Madeleine Rosenthal is a vocalist and songwriter who’s been strongly influenced by pop, R&B, and alternative music, with artists such as Sampha, Frank Ocean, Thom Yorke, Erykah Badu, and James Blake being some of her biggest inspirations. Born and raised in San Francisco, California, she was exposed to the world of performing arts at a young age, beginning with violin lessons at six years old and voice lessons at age ten. She attended School of the Arts High School as a vocal performance major, studying classical and jazz voice, piano, and choir, and in 2013 was accepted into Berklee College of Music on a merit scholarship, where she recently graduated. Throughout her time at Berklee, she actively performed and recorded in the jazz/funk/soul group “Maddie Jay and the pH Collective” as one of the lead vocalists and can be heard on the albums “Meanwhile…” and “Moondog”. She is now based in Los Angeles and is excited to be releasing her original music this year.
