M.I.L.K. Shares New Single ‘RIGHT HERE’ ft. BENNY SINGS

Right Here‘ is the final single to be released from M.I.L.K.‘s new album French Girl Effect (following 24th March on Capitol Records). A collaboration with indie cult figure Benny Sings whom M.I.L.K. (aka Denmark’s singer-songwriter Emil Wilk) describes as a “demi-god,” ‘Right Here‘ is a slice of breezy indie-pop that will ironically have you craving warm summer days given its origins.

“It’s a song I wrote for my girlfriend who had a deep winter depression last year,” explains M.I.L.K“Its’ basically saying ‘Hey, I’m right here and the sun will be back, it’s all gonna be fine.'”

Originally not a planned single, ‘Right Here‘ became a fast and firm favourite amongst M.I.L.K.‘s friends and fellow musicians what with it being the perfect antidote to the cold winter blues, feeling like a warm hug and a kiss on the cheek, and awash with summer nostalgia.

The song’s collaborator Benny Sings has recently turned heads with his own album (out now on Stones Throw) and his collaborations with Tyler The Creator, Mac Demarco, Rex Orange County and more.  M.I.L.K. says of the collaboration, “I’m a super stan! And even more after we started working together. He has this tiny great little studio in Amsterdam under a bridge with wooden floors in various bright colours and a low ceiling. It feels like walking into some little cave from a fairy-tale… and then oops a day passes, and you come out with a little treasure of a song.”

M.I.L.K. is known for his genre-hoping songs with strong summer vibes and that undefinable Nordic charm, as well as for his eclectic collaborations including on new album French Girl Effect, rising Danish artist eee gee, acclaimed producer Gianluca Buccelati (Arlo Parks, Easy Life, Kevin Abstract and more), with several tracks featuring Benny Sings.

M.I.L.K. has released two albums to date, Always Summer Somewhere (2020) and Poolside Radio Vibes (2021) with over 50 MILLION streams, airplay across Europe, and press coverage worldwide including across major UK and US titles such as Spin, The Rolling Stone, Nowness and NME.

He has collaborated with a wide variety of established and up-coming buzz artists from France’s Benjamin Biolay, Nemir, Møme and The Avener, and international artists including Scandinavian alt-pop star Soleima, pianist prodigy August Rosenbaum, reggae legend Tiken jah Fakoly and Brazilian rap icon Criolo.
