NEW ALBUM by Tankus the Henge’s: ‘I CRAVE AFFECTION BABY, BUT NOT WHEN I DRIVE’ OUT TODAY!

Tankus the Henge have built their reputation on unforgettable song writing, spectacular live performances and relentless hard work, playing hundreds of shows across Europe and building a devoted fan base along the way.

Supported and championed by BBC Radio 2BBC 6 MusicBBC Radio 4 and MTV and hailed for their remarkable live performances from the likes of The Guardian who described them as “….a virtual carnival of sound that’s high on energy and deep on soul.”

Their new single ‘Things Were Better Before’ is a moving track telling a story of a dystopian future, commenting on environmental issues and the glimpse of hope we have left to rectify it. The encapsulating and mesmerizing music video has been winning film festival awards all over the world. This is from their forthcoming album, ‘I Crave Attention Baby, But Not When I Drive’ out 29th November. Lead singer Jaz comments on the album –

“We’ve tried to capture the essence of our live shows, and all the chaotic abandon that goes with that, but in the midst of all the alchemy there’s plenty of sounds which are unique to this record. We’re interested in diving back to what has influenced us the most, namely dirty guitar music and New Orleans jazz. Marrying the two on the same record is the challenge.”

Musically inspired by bands from the British invasion of the 60s and artists such as Tom Waits, Blur, Randy Newman and Queens Of The Stone Age, and with lyrics influenced by 20th Century American Literature, specifically the Beat Generation and Gonzo journalism, Tankus the Henge defy categorisation.

Their hair-raising show, like no other, has to be seen and heard to be believed after touring all over the world and renowned for their festival extravaganzas. Like a psychedelic, rock n roll octopus… only with four more legs.
