UK label Absent Mind present their latest soul-drenched collaborative single to be released on March 29th, as No Spirit team up with London duo fika on the new single ‘Better Now’, featuring US vocalist RickyAtoms.
Having already made an appearance on Absent Mind with their single titled ‘High’, fika now bring No Spirit in to the fold to contribute to the label’s growing catalogue. No Spirit are an illusive group of musicians with a pure desire to make music that unites through melding influences from across the globe in to a style all of their own.
The creative output of this collaboration has yielded the effortlessly warm ‘Better Now’ , a languid yet expressive sound, blurring lines between lo-fi hip hop and hook-driven rnb production. RickyAtoms’ rolling vocals collide with the low-slung, blissful beat and nuances of guitar to allow the sun-soaked vibe of the release to shine through.
