Partner Look share their catchy and bright debut album By The Book with fans and audiences worldwide.
Partner Look comprises German sisters Ambrin (Cool Sounds) and Anila Hasnain (Studio Magic), and their partners Dainis Lacey (Cool Sounds) and Lachlan Denton (The Ocean Party).
On the album, the band bring their shared musical history and individual songwriting style together to create 12 highly enjoyable indie pop tracks that reflect on deeper issues of privilege, place and identity.
Ahead of the album release, the band have released three stand-out singles including ‘Rodeo Tragic’ (clip below), ‘Right Here’ and the album’s title track ‘Partner Look’.
By The Book was recorded in early 2020 in a home studio in Brunswick. Denton laid out the drum tracks in one go with the remainder of the band working through edits over a three week period. Lacey engineered the release with mixing and mastering from fellow musician Liam ‘Snowy’ Haillwell.
