UK-born Seth Tabatznik enters a new current with ‘Flow River Flow’

London-born Folk artist Seth Tabatznik released his latest single, ‘Flow River Flow’ on the 7th of August 2026 via Moth Music (Mother Of The Heart), acting as the first single off his forthcoming third album. This follows the release of acclaimed electronic producer Deep Forest‘s remix of his track ‘Shining For Love‘ on 17 July 2026. His sophomore album Awakening Embers, released earlier this year, garnered praise from the acclaimed NOTION Magazine, while the recently released singles off the album ‘Shining For Love’ and ‘Choose To Be Alive’ received support from tastemakers such as CLASH Magazine and EARMILK. Having only begun releasing music in 2024, Seth has already surpassed 400,000 streams across platforms and counting, quickly emerging as a standout voice in the indie folk scene. His foray into the live circuit has also proven successful, with a sold-out debut performance at Boschendal Estate in Cape Town, South Africa, and a sold-out show at Green Note in London’s Camden district.

Raised in London and now based in the Western Cape mountains of South Africa, Seth’s artistry is deeply rooted in both place and purpose. His acoustic folk and medicine music carries a reverence for the earth, weaving soulful harmonies and heartfelt lyrics with an authenticity that bridges ancient wisdom and modern sound. Mentored by Nick Mulvey, who played a formative role in shaping Awakening Embers, and inspired by his guitar teacher Rainer Scheurenbrand, Seth’s compositions reflect a unique synthesis of guidance, lived experience, and spiritual exploration.

Flow River Flow is as delicate as it is emotionally resonant. Softly strummed acoustic guitars introduce the track, accompanied by Seth Tabatznik’s tender vocals. From there, the song gradually unfolds into a lush chorus, where swelling pads intertwine with laid-back percussion, creating a warm, immersive arrangement that holds the track together. Flow River Flow is sure to ensnare fans of Passenger and Gregory Alan Isakov.

Speaking on the single Seth shared:This song took me about as long to write and record as my whole previous album! Flow River Flow is a deeply personal journey about my life and my home mountain. Over the past year I’ve been learning to write with more vulnerability and share more of my own life experiences. Up until a few years ago, I thought I knew myself, my mission on this earth. I could recite it with ease. Then my body told me otherwise. Sickness diverted me towards a new path. Not unaligned with my previous one, but with more humility, empathy and a slowing down. I feel much more guided, more rooted in myself and where I’m meant to be. less pressure to achieve and more curiosity to experience, and express myself through music. When I first wrote the song, it was intended to be about the mountain I live on and how it called me to the land. As it evolved, I realized the mountain was me and so included myself into the story. Now it’s about both of us.”
