It started in 2016 with Nuno Roberto on the guitar and Gil Garcia on the keyboards – later on, Laura Varges joined with her voice. With her, Soma Zero started to create its identity: somewhere between trip-hop, electronic and industrial music. Although their style is not specific, their music has some typical characteristics to it: a downtempo beat, with a tense atmosphere created both by guitar and keyboards, toped by a delicate and emotional voice.
Their first album, “Zero”, was edited in May 2019 and has already been worthy of several compliments and positive reviews from many entities, such as Antena 3, the national indie radio, where the song “Sweat” makes part of its playlist. One of the people who favoured Soma Zero was Fred Stone – the drummer to Blasted Mechanism, a renowned alternative rock band – which led to his participation in two songs of the album, and in all live concerts.
