THE ILLUSTRATED MAN now has released his debut album The Skin Of Time

Celebrated producer, THE ILLUSTRATED MAN released his debut album, The Skin Of Time on 12 June 2026 via ILINX Records. This follows the release of his singles ‘Dance of Shadows‘ ft. Aquarius Heaven and ‘The Heart of Fire‘ ft. electronic music pioneer Robert Owens, both of which were met with a warm reception from his growing fanbase. THE ILLUSTRATED MAN emerged as a prominent new force in the electronic scene, garnering support from industry heavyweights like Adriatique, Bedouin, Township Rebellion, Richie Hawtin, and Joris Voorn. His unique sound has resonated globally, with notable appearances on BBC Radio 1 and Ibiza Global Radio. 

Born in Yerevan, Armenia, and currently based in Dubai, THE ILLUSTRATED MAN initially arose as a fusion of cinema, visual art, and literary science fiction. Drawing inspiration from Ray Bradbury’s iconic work, The Illustrated Man, the artist embodies a symbol of ever-evolving narratives, etched not onto skin as in Bradbury’s story, but into sound. His productions unfold like immersive stories, intricately layered with tension, emotion, and an alluring sense of the unknown. Each track is crafted with intention, designed to resonate not just in the ears but to be felt deep within the soul. Behind the decks, The Illustrated Man seamlessly channels this energy into his electrifying performances – with his sets coming alive, surging, and breathing with a rhythm.

The Skin Of Time is an 11-track conceptual, cinematic journey. Spanning across genres like indie dance, melodic techno, and house, the album is a deeply immersive work that blends its cinematic depth with danceability and club appeal. The resulting nook that the album carves out for itself is something truly special: A sonic experience that is as expansive as it is intimate.

The album’s focus track, ‘When Everything is Said‘, is a Melodic House masterclass, with THE ILLUSTRATED MAN and Sasha Carasi bringing their A-game on the production side. Sasha Carassi, a respected producer and DJ since the 90s, is known for his skilful, risk-taking sound, drawing inspiration from artists including Burial, Daft Punk, David Bowie, and Aphex Twin. The track begins with an atmospheric pad layered beneath upbeat topline percussion, instantly engaging the listener with a sense of curiosity and enchantment. Featured artist, Swedish singer, songwriter, and electronic music producer Jonatan Bäckelie, delivers a powerful vocal performance that transforms the track from an instrumental masterclass to a bona fide hit. ‘When Everything is Said‘ is sure to ensnare fans of RÜFÜS DU SOL, Anyma, and Ben Böhmer. 

Reflecting on his debut record, THE ILLUSTRATED MAN shared: “Rather than following a traditional narrative, the album moves through emotional and existential states: from an initial condition of absence to the gradual emergence of rhythm and tension, ultimately leading to fragmentation and dissolution.
