Undoubtedly the biggest 12 months of his career so far has seen Tom Walker release his international hit ‘Leave A Light On’ and earn the title of one the UK’s biggest breakout stars. Now, setting the tone for a similarly milestone 2019, the UK singer/songwriter comes through with his huge new track ‘Just You and I’.
One of the bonafide runaway hits of the year, ‘Leave A Light On’ went straight into the Official Top 40 songs of the year in the UK, was #1 on iTunes in 20 countries, became the 6th most Shazammed track in the world and went Platinum in 10 different countries; a feat that also earned Tom two huge performances on The X Factor as one of the UK’s most exciting international breakthrough artists.
Capping a career-defining 2018, Tom also bagged a number of awards including Sync Artist of the Year at the Music Week Sync Awards and the ASCAP Vanguard Award -previous recipients include Dua Lipa, Jess Glynn and Calvin Harris.
Now, taken from his debut album ‘What A Time To Be Alive’ (out March 1st), ‘Just You And I’ is another all-consuming anthem in the making, produced by Mark Ralph (Years & Years, Clean Bandit, Rudimental), channelling Tom’s now trademark raw, weighty, superbly agile vocals with the kind of rousing chorus that have already made this a fan favourite.
